Get the Latest, Detailed Socioeconomic Data for Pennsylvania Counties

The PaSDC’s recently-released Pennsylvania County Data Books provide the latest, detailed demographic and socioeconomic data for Pennsylvania Counties. The 2013 County Data Books draw on data available from the most recent American Community Survey 5–Year Estimates to provide information on several socioeconomic characteristics such as education, income, poverty, labor force, home values and much more. Additionally, each book also contains detailed data tables from various state and county government contributors

 

The County Data Book series focuses on several areas, including demographics, housing, economics, education, government, and more. The books are a useful tool for planners, librarians, grant writers, researchers and many more!

PaSDC Tipsheet

The PaSDC answers hundreds of questions every month on topics as far ranging as agriculture statistics, population estimates, and commuter flows. The Tipsheet is a list of custom data requests PaSDC recently responded to and where the data can be found.

Example:

Q: Which Pennsylvania county had the largest net population gain from migrants age 65 years and older during the period 2006-2010?

 

A: Lancaster County ranked first among Pennsylvania counties in the net population gain from migrants 65 years and over in 2006-2010. During the time period, Lancaster County gained more than a thousand residents from movers age 65 years and over.

 

The 2006-2010 American Community Survey County-to-County Migration flows data shows the migratory patterns of the population during the period 2006-2010 by age, sex, and race/ethnicity.
