This publication provides detailed population estimates by gender and age. Age data is broken into one-year cohorts for ages 0 to 19, 5-year cohorts for ages 0 to 84, and a single cohort for age 85 and older. Detailed Hispanic population estimates by age and gender have also been tabulated for the state as well as the following selected counties: Berks, Lancaster, Lehigh and Philadelphia. Population figures from the 2000 decennial census and 2001 estimate report are provided for comparative purposes, in addition to graphs and maps illustrating population change.
