Pennsylvanians tended to stay close to their jobs in 1990. Three fourths of the working population held jobs in the same county in which they resided, and one half traveled less than 20 minutes to work. Most drove alone to work. This publication is a valuable reference guide to planners and to the marketing industry. It contains an analysis, graphics, and three tables with data at a municipal level. Tables include 1) commuters by means of transportation to work; 2) commuters by time they leave home for work; and 3) commuters by length of commute.
