Boundary Files for 2001 Final Legislative Reapportionment Plan
These zip files contain geographic data files for the Pennsylvania State House and Senate districts resulting from the 2001 Legislative Reapportionment. These files are in shapefile format and require GIS software to view them. They should be copied to a computer hard drive before attempting to open them in a GIS application.
If the recipient does not have a GIS application to enable them to view the district maps in these files, a free version of GIS software called ArcExplorer can be downloaded from the website www.esri.com. In the left margin of the home page, click on “Free Resources” and follow the ArcExplorer links.
The Pennsylvania legislative caucus staffs created the shapefiles in Arcview 3. They can be opened in any GIS application that supports the shapefile format.
