Custom Profiles

Often data users need to identify population or housing characteristics of a neighborhood or other area that combines blocks or tracts or even municipalities or counties. The PaSDC can produce any of the 37 profiles listed above for user-defined areas by 1) combining census boundaries or 2) delineating an area using radial search methods. In a radial search, the user defines a center point (street intersection or latitude and longitude) and how far (miles) the search should extend.

Standard Profiles

The PaSDC has two sets of Standard Profiles available, which together provide over 3,000 data items. The 8 Standard Profiles from the census 100 percent count of population and housing characteristics (STF1) and 29 Standard Profiles from the sample count of socio-economic characteristics (STF3) are available for the nation and all 50 states and each of Pennsylvania's 67 counties.

Standard Profiles are available in varying Geographic Levels for each of Pennsylvania's Senate, House and Congressional Districts, metropolitan statistical areas, and municipalities for $1.00 per profile.

Custom Profiles are available at the ZIP code, census tract, and census block group level. The price includes a set-up-fee plus a per page charge. Call for prices.

The STF1 Profiles are available for Pennsylvania's census blocks and for any census-designated place with a population of 10,000 or more in the nation.

Profiles are available at various geographic levels. Contact the Data Center for specific information.
